Censo Poético is a contemporary dance piece that offers an intimate and nuanced look at the National Dance Company of Ecuador (CND) as it prepares for its 50th anniversary. The work delves into the 13 personal stories of the dancers from the contemporary ensemble, using autobiographical choreographic practices to transform individual memory into collective movement.
Directed by Samuel Retortillo, the piece proposes an emotional mapping of the body and the institution, merging dance with an immersive sound and multimedia design that celebrates both the legacy and the present of the company.
